Technology & Innovation
As part of the Patience Bulk Haulage strategy to align the organisations IT environment with business innovation, we have migrated all IT production systems to the Geraldton Data Centre, now delivered as Cloud services.
This has provided a level of redundancy and resiliency that was not available in the previous environment and has enabled our remote offices to have greater access to the core applications and share the same information and services that are available in the Patience Bulk Haulage Head Office, in Geraldton.
Patience Bulk Haulage is running a fully integrated system called CMS Freight 2020 that covers General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Receivable, Payroll, OHS, Stock and Service history and work orders of all assets.

The Patience Bulk Haulage maintenance team developed a modification that has given the bull hose attachment increased durability.
The modification has seen the bull hose connection move to the centre point of the attaching trailer, with swivels fitted to both bull hoses and then looped up and held by a pogo stick. The modification has resulted in a noticeable reduction of hose replacements and increased durability.
Hydraulic Retractable Tarps
The Patience Bulk Haulage maintenance team has been actively working towards a solution for roll tarp shoulder injuries, a general issue within the transport industry. The introduction of a 50mm diameter outer tarp bar and driver training has seen Patience make a significant improvement with these injuries.
Following the fitting of our first set of hydraulic retractable tarps, encouraging results were achieved. Early indicators show that minimal modifications should achieve the elimination of shoulder injuries relating to roll tarps.
